ARC stands for Architecture, LA for landscapes and IN for Interiors. With more than a decade of experience, ARCLAIN has designed and built innovative spaces ranging from chic commercial stores to cosy retreats and luxurious residential projects.

If being artfully inclined is a genetic trait, Mr Khanjan Patel, the co-founder and principal designer at Arclain, is a sure example of it. His Grand Father was a skilful furniture designer in his day, and his father a renowned interior artist. Looking up to these two men and their impressive works of art, he was introduced to new styles, angles and aspects of designs every day. As a gifted artist himself, continuing their legacy was undeniably the right decision for him.
Being surrounded by design work all his life, he has developed an eye for the aspects of design and its details. Discovering the hidden elements of a design, which carry the overall aesthetics and functionality, is his second nature. He spent a near 5 years in Australia, studying design in one of their top universities after which he worked as an interior designer in Melbourne. This experience led him to start a thriving Bangalore-Ahmedabad based architecture firm, ARCLAIN.

Having grown up amidst the picturesque and luscious western ghats of Coorg and the rich architecture of Bangalore, Mr Karun Muthanna, co-founder and principal architect at Arclain, always has had a fondness for design and the scenic, natural landscapes. Being surrounded by them for most of his life, he was intrigued by the intricate functions of how nature sustained itself and the eco-systems surrounding it. The love he held for the workings of nature fueled his passion for planning, creating and designing.
Having been raised in a military and Indian Police background made him lead a life of organized and meticulous ways, which without a doubt has contributed to the discipline he has towards his profession. This discipline took him travelling to various cities across India. It was the time he spent in Bangalore where he was left fascinated by the old buildings fashioned in the Colonial time architecture. Their intricate designs, unique forms and extravagance stood out from the newer constructions. He spent three years in Australia studying architecture from one of the most reputed universities and was introduced to projects worldwide.
Inspired, he relocated to India and he started his career as an Architect, Interior and Landscape designer at ARCLAIN, a leading Bangalore-Ahmedabad based Architecture firm. This Award-winning organization has excelled in designing world-class spaces that combine luxury with sustainability. His fascination towards the built spaces combined with his innate need to do something for the people and society has been his driving force, which also benefitted this firm gaining an astounding amount of success in a short period of time.
